COMEDIAN CHARLIE MURPHY, EDDIE MURPHY’S ELDER BROTHER DEAD AT AGE 57 FROM LEUKEMIA

Comedian Charlie Murphy – the older brother of Actor Eddie Murphy has died from leukemia at age 57.

Charlie was a comic actor and starred on Chappelle’s Show, Are We There Yet? He voiced a role in the animated TV series that include The Boondocks and also appeared in the comedy series Black Jesus.

More recently he starred as Marshal Williams in the TV series Power.

Charlie’s death on Wednesday was confirmed by his representative, Domenick Nati.

Charlie’s tweets in his final hours left many people curious.

Celebrities have taken to social media to honour the late star.

Eddie Murphy and his family have also paid tribute to his late brother.

The family said in a statement: “Our hearts are heavy with the loss today of our son, brother, father, uncle and friend Charlie. Charlie filled our family with love and laughter and there won’t be a day that goes by that his presence will not be missed. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and prayers. We respectfully ask for privacy during this time of great loss for all of us.”
