Barcelona hammered PSG 6-1 to complete the greatest comeback in football history.
Luis Suarez opened the scoring after three minutes and Layvin Kurzawa scored an own goal just before the break.
Edinson Cavani seemed to have crushed Barcelona’s hopes of a comeback when he scored an away goal after the Catalans scored three, but Luis Enrique’s side refused to give up hope and went and scored three more.
Barca went on to score in the 88th, 91st and 95th minute, to complete an epic comeback from 4-0 down against PSG.
Sergi Roberto scored in the last seconds of stoppage time as FC Barcelona capped a sensational Champions League fightback to thrash Paris Saint-Germain 6-1 and reach the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
I threw myself at it with everything,” Roberto told BeIN Sports Spain as his outstretched leg turned home Neymar’s cross.
“It is a difficult night to explain with words,” said outgoing Barca boss Luis Enrique.
“It was a horror movie, not a drama, with a Camp Nou that I have seen very few times as a player or coach.
“What defines this victory is the faith that the players and fans had.”
In the build-up Luis Enrique insisted that if PSG could score four against his team in Paris then Barcelona could hit them for six at the Camp Nou. That a comeback was even thinkable is incredible in itself.
Most football analysts didn’t see this one coming, most people thought the Champions league was over for Barca considering how strong PSG is.
Barca’s determination and fighting spirit was what saw them through.
Congratulations Barcelona, you surely deserved it.
